Tea
Tea originated in Southwest China, where it was used as a medicinal drink. It was popularized as a recreational drink during the Chinese Tang dynasty, and tea drinking spread to other East Asian countries. Portuguese priests and merchants introduced it to Europe during the 16th century.[7] During the 17th century, drinking tea became fashionable among Britons, who started large-scale production and commercialization of the plant in India to bypass the Chinese monopoly. Combined, China and India supplied 62% of the world's tea in 2016.
茶源自中国。中国茶的分类常用的就是按照制茶的工艺（加工方法）划分为六大茶类：绿茶、红茶、青茶（乌龙茶）、黄茶、黑茶、白茶。，即按照颜色红绿青黄黑白，也有加上两类：药茶、花茶，成为了八大茶类的说法。
绿茶，是我国产量最多，品种也最多的一类茶叶。绿茶制作工艺最主要的过程就是杀青、揉捻、干燥。由于干燥的方法不同，绿茶又分为：炒青绿茶、烘青绿茶、蒸青绿茶、晒青绿茶。绿茶的制作不需要经过发酵。
红茶，与绿茶的不发酵不同，属于全发酵茶。红茶不需要“杀青”，而是“萎凋”去除新鲜茶叶一部分水分，再揉捻（揉搓成条或切成颗粒），然后发酵，使所含的茶多酚氧化，变成了红色的化合物。主要就是祁门红茶（祁红）、云南红茶（滇红）、英德红茶（英红）；
乌龙茶，就是青茶，是介于红茶和绿茶之间的半发酵茶：适当发酵，使叶片略有红变（叶片中间为绿色，边缘呈红色，即“绿叶红镶边”），让其既有绿茶的鲜浓，也有红茶的甜醇。其制作工艺为六大茶类中工艺最为复杂和费时，并且饮用方法也最为讲究，因此也被成为“工夫茶”。其品种有：安溪铁观音、武夷岩茶、凤凰单枞、台湾冻顶乌龙茶等。
黑茶，主要就是普洱茶了。普洱茶制作就是在绿茶上再浇水，再发酵而成，存放时间可以很长。
黄茶，其做法类似绿茶，不过需要闷黄三天：经过闷堆渥黄。一般分为：黄芽茶、黄小茶、黄大叶。
白茶，一般靠太阳日晒制成，加工时不炒不揉，只是将细嫩、叶背满茸毛的茶叶晒干或用文火烘干，而使“白色茸毛”完整保留下来。例如，寿眉。
